The Venture House is a centrally heated, single-storey building offering a well-equipped and easily run base for a Brownie or Guide Holidays, Rainbow overnights or similar for up to twenty-five residents and five day visitors.
There is a spacious dining room/playroom and a large refurbished kitchen with two electric cookers, microwave oven, fridge/freezer and all necessary cooking utensils, crockery and cutlery provided.
Guiders have their own room in which to relax.
The First Aid room for emergency use has its own bed, blankets and 2 pillows and a wheelchair accessible toilet.
There is a washing machine, which is also for use by others on site.
Bathroom facilities comprise a shower, three wash basins with hot and cold water and three toilets. There is a separate Guiders toilet/wash room.
In the Drying Room there is a spin dryer and ironing board, brushes, mops etc.
In the Porch there is storage space for outdoor clothing and Wellies - also a supply of sitting ground sheets. There is a play area at the side of the Venture House and visitors have access to the fields and the dell. Booking charges include the cost of heating and electricity.
The Venture House is available mid-February to mid-December.

The dormitory sleeps eighteen, the Pack Leaders’ room sleeps two and there are two double rooms (bunk beds in all). There is also one single room for adults. A pillow and blankets are supplied for each visitor. Visitors should provide sleeping bags or sheets, pillowcases and towels.
